Noel S. McFerran, Theology and Rare Books Librarian, University of St. Michael’s College
The Kelly Library at the University of St. Michael’s College holds a wonderful collection of rare and interesting examples of Italian printing. This illustrated presentation will look at some of these treasures including a 1475 printing of Augustine’s City of God, an early printed edition of Dante’s Divine Comedy, and later works with beautiful engravings. We will consider how developments in the art of printing produced works which continue to stimulate and entertain.
